The transformation of displacement vectors due to the surface movements into the parameters of deformation is one of the possible tools for better expressions of dynamical properties for recent movement studies. The procedure for data processing is 2-dimensional in regular rectangular grids.

After processing results of observations, the movements are expressed by means of they vectors, related to the coordinate system. Those properties affect the interpretation of movements, and, moreover, may not be understandable for specialists in other geosciences. It is the reason why vectors of movements are also transformed in parameters of deformations, then comparable with results of earthquake focal mechanism analysis. These parameters are important for modeling of geodynamical phenomena.

INPUT AND OUTPUT DATA FORMATS AND GRAPHICAL OUTPUT

Input format is either simple formatted text file or XML format Output format is txt numerical protocol with all computed values and XML files enabling to display them in internet viewer.

Graphical vector output is formats GML, SVG a ESRI Shapefile . The field of horizontal displacements on grids and the field on main axes of horizontal deformations on grids within the area is showed. It is possible to change scales, display of point id and include topographic layers like TopoHelp ČR or Landsat etc . Resulting picture can be saved as bmp, gif or jpg as well. Application uses (Open Source license) map server MAPSERVER from Minesotta University, USA. ( http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/ )

Requirements:

JVM (Microsoft or sun) needed, MS IE 6.0 and higher.
